Limmud is a Co-ed, experiential, 9-month study and Israel immersion program for the Southern Hemisphere. The program aims to develop 5 circles of “identity” including: Jewish, Zionist, Spiritual, Communal & Personal. Within this framework, participants spend time at Yeshiva/Midrasha, and experience Israel with a wide array of activities and educational modules, as well as a meaningful journey to Poland. Limmud culminates with a 3-month collaborative with our Mechina Olamit, together with Israelis, and participants from the Northern Hemisphere.
Shalom!
Limmud is working hard on the kibbutz, learning Hebrew, and are really enjoying themselves! They started out the week with a tiyul, hiking the Gilboa, learning about the area, and then had a refreshing swim at the Sachneh.
The afternoons are filled with different programs led by the mads, guests, and the chanichim. The Mads have started a series of peulot on the topic of "Israelism". The sessions include discussions about the history of the state of Israel, Zionism, activism, what it means to be an Israeli, and more
The group got together and made signs for a picture that was posted by WBA to support Jews in Ukraine and show solidarity.
They also had a proper "color war", using balloons filled with colored water they decorated each other's white t-shirts. After they were all fully covered in colors, they sat around in a circle and wrote on each other's shirts the positive qualities they saw in that person. Everyone came away with a shirt that was beautiful and colorful in two ways- the colors themselves and the colors of the traits they all possess, their inner beauty.
