WORLD COUNCIL
The World Bnei Akiva World Council was established in 2015 as part of a renewal process of the governance of our movement. In order to deepen our connection with the Bnei Akiva branches around the world we created a World Council made up of representatives from our snifim which serves as our highest decision-making body.
The council consists of 16 members who have significant experience and knowledge of the world of Bnei Akiva, such as former Shlichim and Mazkirim. The council has representatives from each major region or country; Europe, UK, France, South America, North America, Australia and South Africa; and are chosen by the organizations they represent.
The World Council works on determining policy for the movement, approving the annual budget, and raising funds. It meets every few months for a conference call and twice a year for a face-to-face meeting.
As part of World Bnei Akiva's renewal, the World Council has focused on a number of core projects since its inception, and continues to do so with firm resolve for the decade ahead.
